Autonomous Intelligence via gRPC and A-RAG
1. Abstract
The NB AI Framework v4.0 is an autonomous agent orchestration. Built on a persistent, gRPC-native microservices architecture, the framework achieves exceptional concurrency and low latency. Utilizing an Agentic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (A-RAG) hierarchical router, the system processes complex, multi-agent missions with high fidelity and zero transactional locking.
2. The Governor Trio Architecture
The core of our intelligence layer is governed by three primary pillars:
Orchestrator (EnCompass Engine): Manages mission decomposition and delegates tasks to specialized C-Suite agents and ephemeral atomic subagents. It utilizes the EnCompass Protocol for multi-path strategy evaluation.
State Agent: Ensures transactional integrity across database mutations, maintaining a persistent memory graph. It serves as the single source of truth for the agentic state.
Judge Agent (I-Con Auditor): Provides real-time I-Con (Information Gain) scoring, rigorously evaluating every agent turn for quality control and relevance. Actions with an I-Con score < 7/10 are automatically rejected for refinement.
3. Core Algorithmic Frameworks
EnCompass (Parallel Branching): A multi-path strategic debate mechanism. When facing complex decisions, the framework spawns parallel logic branches (Optimist, Skeptic, Realist personas) to evaluate different outcomes simultaneously before converging on the optimal path.
SEAL (Self-Evolving Agentic Loop): The framework's continuous learning engine. Post-mission, SEAL analyzes the Judge's I-Con scores and edge-case resolutions to generate "Study Notes," refining future retrieval and reasoning strategies to ensure cumulative intelligence growth.
MAID (Multi-Agent Independent Debate): A protocol for high-risk decision-making (Risk > 0.85). It assembles the Council for structured, cross-functional debate to prevent bias and ensure strategic alignment.
Atomic Subagents: Highly efficient, ephemeral workers (Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite) spawned for single, isolated tasks (e.g., keyword extraction, scraping). These agents dissolve upon completion, ensuring maximum compute efficiency.
4. Performance Data
In our cascading stress test, the v4.0 architecture demonstrated enterprise-grade scalability:
A-RAG Avg Context Score: 91.4/100 (via I-Con evaluation)
Peak Concurrency: 100 concurrent multi-agent missions processed.
Success Rate: 100% across database dispatches and agent routing.
In-Memory Latency: 123ms for 100 parallel database/retrieval dispatches.
5. Conclusion
The implementation of memory-resident gRPC daemons, the A-RAG hierarchical retrieval system, and advanced logic protocols like EnCompass and SEAL provide a scalable, industrial-grade foundation.
